This is a small, intimate garden, hidden in the old part of town. It is pleasant for walking. Swans live in the pond there. A chamber puppet shows are held in the cafe «Alenkiy Cvetochek» in the summer.
History
The garden, during its existence, has changed several owners and names. It was founded in 1883 by donations from the well-known Ufa merchant and publisher N.N. Blokhin. Hence the garden has got the name Blokhinsky. In 1894 the owner of wineries merchant V. Vidineev bought the garden and built a Summer Theater there, which for years has been one of the centers of cultural life in the city. People’s Artist of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, A.Yablochkina and many other prominent figures of art, culture and science gave performances here. The building was two-storied, wooden, with carving on the facade giving it a smart appearance. The hall was multilayered, comfortable, with excellent acoustics. In Russia there were only three such theaters. Unfortunately, over time the building fell into decay, and in 1991 it was demolished.
On behalf of the new owner of the garden was renamed to Vidineev. After the revolution, the garden was renamed to Lunacharskiy (People’s Commissar of Education of the USSR). In 1992 the garden received its present name in connection with the 200th Anniversary of Sergey Aksakov.
