The Ufa Great mosque, a complex mosque-madrassa was opened in 1998. Construction was funded by industrial enterprises and private individuals (architect V.V. Davlyatshin). It is one of the original modern cult constructions and one of the Ufa places of interest. The Mosque is made of stone and has 3 floors. Two octahedral minarets have shape of tulip buds and are 53 mebashkortostan-liaoning.comthe both sides of front stairs. On the 3rd floor there is a prayer hall for 300 visitors designed in eastern style, and the gallery for women, which has 200 seats. On the 1st and 2nd floors there are guest rooms, study classes, residential rooms for students and the hall for ceremonies of marriage and naming. The mosque also has a Madrassa and Weekend schools for adults and children. Services from this mosque are broadcasted by central Russian channels during main Muslim holidays.
