In 1882 the bureau "Brothers Nobel’s Oil Producing Company" was opened in Ufa, which was founded in 1879 by Ludvig and Robert Nobels, brothers of Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite and the founder of Nobel’s Prize.
The partnership opened their bureau on the leased place behind Sofonovskaya pier; it also strengthened the bank of Belaya, built the railroad and everything necessary for trading oil products. The biggest part of the kerosene was transported to the storehouses situated along Siberian railway.
In 1912 the partnership owned a two-stored stone building on the Upper Trade Square and all the constructions and buildings on Sofonovskaya pier. The representatives of the company were situated on Bolshaya Uspenskaya Street (now it is Kommunisticheskaya Street).
In 1918 the representatives of brothers Nobel’s company left Ufa.
