It is a small picturesque street; it goes parallel to Karl Marks Street, it begins from Kommunisticheskaya Street near Gostini Dvor and ends near Children Arts Centre named after Komarov (the former House of Pioneers). Before it was called Beketovskaya Street, then – Socialisticheskaya, in 2008 it was renamed in the memory of the national poet of Bashkortostan, Honorary citizen of Ufa, Mustai Karim. Many personal and work events for the poet are associated with this street. It is considered to erect a monument to Musti Karim here. The street begins at Children Arts Centre named after Komarov (the former House of Pioneers). Nearby is a pedestrian bridge over the children’s railway, which leads in the beautiful Yakutov’s park. Here is the 26-storey building of «Uralsib» bank, one of the biggest bank buildings in Europe. It became a perfect landmark seen from every place of the southern part of the city. Near the building of the Federation of Trade Unions is a small cozy public garden. Kirov Street begins here. From here there is a great view on the Church Rozhdestva Bogoroditsi (Church of the Birth of the Holy Mother). Earlier there was Alexandrovskaya Church on the place of Federation of Trade Unions. The two great churches started and ended Kirov Street (in those days – Priutskaya Street). After 1931 the church was pulled down, and in its place the House of Labor has been built. In the years of the Great Patriotic War here was an evacuated from Ribinsk factory. Now this square is decorated with the House of Trade Unions. A Mustai Karim monument and a fountain complex have been erected here in 2013.
