It was opened in 2008 in the square in front of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after Miftakhetdin Akmulla. It is devoted to the enlightener of the XIX century, Miftakhetdin Akmulla (1831–1895). The authors of the memorial (sculptor V. Dvornik, architect D. Magafurov) showed the moment when Akmulla came to the village after the long road and headed to a spring to slake his thirst and rest. A boy and a girl approached him and Akmulla reached to a book and started talking with children. The stones around the sculpture are a comfortable place for sitting, reading and chatting. The sculptural composition became one of the attractions of the capital.
